This year there will be 2 sessions:
10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm.
In order to better organize our volunteers and provide for a more in-depth experience we are asking participants to highlight their preferred activities.

* The glass and blacksmithing activities will last for approximately 45 min and may include some waiting and watching while other participants take their turns.

Glassblowing(ages 8-19) will take place in the Hotshop where there is a furnace of molten glass and several re-heating chambers. Participants will be able to pull, stretch, shape, and blow the glass while exploring the properties of the material in it's workable state. No objects from this process will go home with the participants. This is an experience based exploration.

Flameworking
(ages 8-19) will take place in the flameworking studio and participants will be able to assemble glass drawings out of thin manufactured glass rods and use a small hot torch to fuse/ weld them together.

Blacksmithing/forging
(ages 10-19) will take place in the forging studio and will involve heating, hammering and otherwise shaping rebar.

Woodturning
(ages 14-19) will take place in the woodturning studio and will consist of shaping, finishing, and assembling wooden pens while spinning on a wood lathe.
